FAQ

As this blog has grown, I’ve gotten more and more questions about both the United States in general and my personal experiences in and around my homeland. Here is my attempt to answer some of the most common ones.

What is the capital of the United States?
Well, my dears, that would be Washington, DC, located on the eastern seaboard between Virginia and Maryland.

How many states have you been to?
My running total is 35, but I fully intend to make it to all 50.

Where are you from?
Chicago, Illinois.

What’s your favorite place in the US?
It is extremely hard to decide. I’m not sure I can. Some of my tops are Hawaii, Boston, and Washington, DC.

Where do you find your photos?
That’s like asking where I buy groceries. The answer would be everywhere. I find photos (not groceries, just so we’re clear) on flickr, smashingpicture, websites for various National Parks, photography websites, and at the Library of Congress online.

Have you ever traveled outside of the US?
HECK NO, MAN, USA ALL THE WAY!!!

Kidding. I love to travel, both nationally and internationally. Thus far, I’ve been to the Czech Republic, the Cayman Islands, Canada, and France. And Heathrow Airport (x4), if that counts.
